Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: April 17, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses the Cactus Services. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used here have the meaning given in the Terms. Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account, removal of content, forfeiture of credits, and legal action.

1. General Prohibitions

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including privacy, publicity, contract, or intellectual property rights;
  • infringe, misappropriate, or dilute any trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual property right;
  • upload or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable;
  • submit content that contains malware, viruses, worms, or other harmful code;
  • engage in fraud, impersonation, phishing, or deceptive practices, including misrepresenting your identity or affiliation;
  • process payment-card data, protected health information, or other regulated data that you are not authorized to process;
  • collect or harvest information about other users without their consent.

2. Confidential and Third-Party Content

  • You must have the right to submit any document, data, or content you upload. Do not upload documents subject to a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement unless you are authorized to process them through third-party software services like the Services.
  • Do not upload personal information about another person without a lawful basis, and do not upload sensitive personal data categories (such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, precise health or financial account data, or data about minors) that are not necessary for the Services.

3. System Integrity and Security

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or any connected system or network.
  • Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services or circumvent authentication, rate limits, or security controls, except under a written security-research agreement with Cactus.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, models, weights, or underlying algorithms of the Services, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Do not interfere with or disrupt the Services, including by overwhelming, flooding, or spamming the Services, or by engaging the Services in a way that imposes unreasonable load.
  • Do not use automated tools such as crawlers, scrapers, or headless browsers to extract data or Output from the Services, except via APIs we make generally available and subject to their documented limits.

4. AI-Specific Restrictions

  • Do not use the Services or any Output to develop, train, improve, fine-tune, or benchmark any artificial-intelligence model, dataset, or product that competes with the Services.
  • Do not use the Services to generate content intended to deceive, defraud, manipulate markets, or misrepresent real-estate transactions, property conditions, rent rolls, financial performance, or identities.
  • Do not attempt prompt injection, jailbreaks, or other techniques intended to cause the Services or their underlying models to bypass safety, confidentiality, or access controls, or to reveal other users’ content.
  • Do not use the Services to generate defamatory content about identifiable persons or organizations, to produce deepfakes, or to generate content depicting non-consensual, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful material about real individuals.
  • Treat Output as analytical work product subject to human review. Do not represent Output as professional financial, investment, legal, or accounting advice or as the conclusion of a human expert.

5. Competitor Use Restriction

You may not access or use the Services if you are, or if you are accessing on behalf of, a competitor of Cactus, or for the purpose of monitoring the availability, performance, functionality, or features of the Services, or for benchmarking, competitive analysis, or building a competing product. By using the Services, you represent that you are not doing so for any of these purposes.

6. Rate Limits and Fair Use

We may impose usage limits (for example, on API calls, credits, uploads, or concurrent sessions) to protect the Services and ensure availability for all users. You will not attempt to circumvent these limits, including by operating multiple accounts to exceed the limits applicable to a single account.

7. Reporting Violations

To report a suspected violation of this AUP, email support@trycactus.com. For security vulnerabilities, email support@trycactus.com.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we deem appropriate, including removing content, throttling or suspending access, terminating accounts, forfeiting credits, cooperating with law-enforcement, and pursuing legal remedies. We have no obligation to monitor use of the Services but may do so at our discretion.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated AUP constitutes acceptance of it.
